about

The third track of our upcoming album. Musically, it's inspired by 2000s Metalcore such as As I Lay Dying or Heaven Shall Burn. The lyrics deal with peoples current relationship to media and how we struggle to be happy, in a time where we often are dull from being constantly bombarded by social media content.

lyrics

Lyrics:

Corruption of our perception
Spineless allegiance
Yeah, we are lost forever

Chasing ourselfes in an endless search for gold
Our gods are faceless yet remain around us at any time
In the name of progress, unlearned to resist
Isn‘t it strange to define yourself by the things you worship?

We aim for nothing but we request everything
Begging to release some dopamine
All at once might be enough
Still we can‘t seem to find those things that used to set us free

Release me from this spineless allegiance
Release me from this spineless allegiance

Attention seekers
You make me sick
Gathering the mindless as they‘re faithful instead
Digital prayers
Countless a day
Even you‘re not more than a servant after all
You‘re just a servant, straggling around

We aim for nothing but we request everything
Begging to release some dopamine
All at once might be enough
Still we can‘t seem to find those things that used to set us free

Release me
Oh, will we ever set us free?
Release me

Release me from this spineless allegiance
